The Lake Hamilton Fire Protection District (LHFPD) was established by an election in 2018 as the organizational entity of the Lake Hamilton Fire Department also recognized as Lake Hamilton Fire and Rescue (LHF&R). We cover defined district territory within both Garland County and Hot Springs County.

Fire departments outside the city limits of cities and towns are primarily funded by involuntary dues/assessments billed and collected by their County Tax Collector(s).

The LHFPD is governed by a seven (7) member Board of Commissioners.
