Over the last two days our Special Operations Division spent almost 20 hours assisting multiple local, state, and federal agencies as well as a private contractor with the emergency response and clean up of a small airplane crash that occurred on Lake Hamilton on June 26, 2023. At the request of the NTSB and the FAA, our divers assisted in locating possible lost items and property that may have fallen out of the aircraft at the time of the accident.
We have an amazing emergency response community in Garland County. With approximately 12 different agencies on scene some might think the scene would be chaotic; however, Garland County is blessed with some of the best emergency service personnel in the State! The teamwork between all agencies involved was second to none!
Our prayers and condolences go out to the friends and families of all the individuals involved.
